ABSTRACT:
A multi-channel vascular flow monitoring system for measuring skin resistance during peripheral blood flow. Conventional EKG type electrodes supply current flow through a selected segment of skin and monitor voltage across a plurality of selected areas within the current supplied segment. Separate detectors are utilized for amplifying and filtering voltage signals received from the voltage electrodes. The detectors provide a first output voltage representing percentage of resistance changes across the voltage electrodes and a second output signal representing the resistance of each monitored skin segment. The output signals of all of the detectors are normalized by a common reference voltage and either directly displayed or further conditioned for use with various display medium.
