ABSTRACT:
A mounting device for releasably supporting a decorative string or Christmas tree light assembly includes at least one elongated, platen-like strip for releasably supporting the light assembly. Each platen-like strip has two opposite faces and two side edges extending between the two faces, and the faces define a plurality of cutouts extending along and opening out of a side edge of the strip. Each cutout is adapted to snuggly accept a socket body of the light assembly inserted endwise into the cutout from a face side thereof, and each strip is constructed of a resiliently bendable material permitting the strip to be manually conformed to any of a number of shapes.
