ABSTRACT:
An electrical generator or motion sensor including a) a pair of elongated L shaped supports (15) fixed at one end but free to move at the other b) a coil (14) secured to the supports remote from the fixed end c) an array of permanent magnets (12) arranged adjacent the coil such that movement of the coil through the magnetic field induces an electric current in the coil. To rectify the current the supports are made of a piezoelectric polymer membrane so that movement of the coil stresses the membrane to generate a voltage that is used to turn on a MOSFET transistor rectifier.
