ABSTRACT:
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is alkylene, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 are hydrogen or lower alkoxy, and R.sub.4 is ##STR2## in which R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are hydrogen or lower alkyl, with the proviso that at least one of R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 is lower alkyl, and >X is oxygen, ##STR3## or >N--R.sub.7 wherein R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 are hydrogen or lower alkyl, depress the activity of the central nervous system when administered to a living animal.
