ABSTRACT:
O-Alkyl OO-(t-octyl) monoperoxycarbonates of the formula [CH.sub.3 C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 CH.sub.2 C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 OOC(.dbd.O)O-].sub.n R where n is an integer from 1-4, such as OO-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl) O-methyl monoperoxycarbonate, and processes using such compounds as initiators for polymerizing ethylenically unsaturated monomers and as curing catalysts for curing unsaturated polyester resin compositions.
