ABSTRACT:
A method for preparing hybrid cell lines (hybridomas) which secrete monoclonal antibody which is group-specific to epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus antigen and which does not react to antigenically-related bluetongue virus antigen is disclosed. The antibody identifies EHDV in infected cell cultures with immunofluorescence and provides a means for ready diagnosis of EHDV in animals.
