ABSTRACT:
A monoazo compound represented by the following formula in the free acid form, ##STR1## wherein D is phenylene or naphthylene, R is hydrogen or alkyl, A is phenylene or naphthylene, Z.sub.1 and Z.sub.2 independently of one another are each vinylsulfonyl, .beta.-sulfatoethylsulfonyl and the like, and X is pyridinio or amino represented by the following formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently of one another are each hydrogen, alkyl, phenyl, naphthyl or benzyl, which is useful for dyeing or printing fiber materials to give dyed or printed products of red color excellent in fastness properties with excellent build-up, level-dyeing and washing-off properties.
