ABSTRACT:
A single substitution of pentafluorosulfur on diacetylene by a reaction of iacetylene with pentafluorosulfur bromine, followed by a dehydrobromination with potassium hydroxide. The substituted diacetylene polymerizes in the liquid and gas phases. The polymer is useful as a coating and surface treatment.
