ABSTRACT:
Alkali metal/sulfur battery cells, in which the cathodic current collector is a shaped article comprising an aluminum substrate coated with molybdenum, have longer service lives if the molybdenum is overcoated with a layer of molybdenum oxides comprising an outer portion consisting of MoO.sub.3.
