ABSTRACT:
Latex-rich plants such as Guayule or extracts thereof pyrolyzed in an inert nitrogen atmosphere in inorganic salt melts such as a LiCl/KCl eutectic at a temperature of about 500.degree. C. yield over 60% of a highly aromatic, combustible hydrocarbon oil suitable for use as a synthetic liquid fuel.
