A molecular composite material includes a liquid crystal polymer such as polyazomethine, a thermoplastic polymer such as a polyamide and a compatibilizing agent such as .epsilon.-caprolactam having at least one functional group showing compatibility and/or reactivity to the liquid crystal polymer and/or the thermoplastic polymer.
