ABSTRACT:
A stair jack for constructing a staircase between an upper surface and a lower surface. The stair jack has a stair support member with a top inclined edge and a plurality of tread supports adapted to be fixedly coupled to the stair support member. Each tread support has a riser surface that projects upwardly from the top inclined surface and a trend support surface extending from the top inclined surface to an upper point of the riser surface. Stair treads and risers are affixed to the tread supports and riser surfaces, respectively, so as to form a staircase in which both the stringer and the tread support members are hidden from view.
