ABSTRACT:
A room air conditioner is assembled from prefabricated modular units. A refrigeration system module allows the compressor, condenser and evaporator to be per-assembled on a base. An air system allows the fan motor, fans, shrouds and other partitions to be pre-assembled as a unit and the electrical controls and mounting panel are pre-assembled as another unit. these units are then sequentially assembled on a main assembly line into the finished air conditioner unit.
