ABSTRACT:
A new beta quinacridone polytype having a magenta color and a distinct X-ray diffraction pattern, said new form preferably having an average particle size of about 0.2-0.8 .mu.m and being prepared by various wet milling or reflux procedures in alcohol-base systems.
