ABSTRACT:
Model skin surface adapted for testing adhesion of medical adhesives as a screening test and/or as an alternative to costly and highly variable human skin substrates, which model skin possesses human topography and consists essentially of a water content which is adjustable to simulate varying moisture contents in human skin; water-swellable but water-insoluble proteinaceous material; and fatty acid di- or triglyceride.
