ABSTRACT:
A thermally-transferred color filter array element comprising a transparent support having thereon a thermally-transferred image comprising a repeating mosaic pattern of colorants in a receiving layer, one of the colorants being a mixture of a yellow dye and a magenta dye to form a red hue, said yellow dye having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl grou of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group of from about 5 to about 7 carbon atoms; or represents the atoms which when taken together with Z forms a 5- or 6-membered ring;
