ABSTRACT:
New mixed conductors resulting from the insertion of an alkali element in the lattice of an intercalation compound of graphite and of a product M'.sub.y X.sub.z : M' is a transition metal such as Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Mo; X is a nonmetallic electronegative atom such as O, S, F, Cl or Br; y and z have the values of the indices in said product M'.sub.y X.sub.z. These mixed compounds are useful for the manufacture of positive electrodes of electrochemical generators.
