ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a method of inhibiting cell proliferation and lysyl hydroxylase expression. The method involves the use of minoxidil derivatives. The inhibitory activity of hydroxy derivatives of minoxidil is such that these compounds can be used as selective antifibrotic agents.
