ABSTRACT:
The invention provides an improved drain structure of a cutting fluid supplied to a spindle of a milling spindle. The milling spindle100comprises a spindle20supported within a housing via a bearing16, and a drawbar24having a through coolant passage22. The cutting fluid C1passing through the rotary joint40and50is sent to the through coolant passage22, but a portion thereof is collected in a drain chamber110. When the pressure within the drain chamber rises, the drain device150pushes open the ball160resisting against the spring170, and the cutting fluid C1is discharged to the exterior.
