ABSTRACT:
A sealing glass material comprising a thermally crystallizable, PbO--ZnO--B.sub.2 O.sub.3 sealing glass flit and a mill addition selected from alumina, zircon, and manganese dioxide, the mill addition being in an amount sufficient to increase the mechanical strength in a fusion seal to at least 55.2 MPa(8000 psi), but the amount being not over about 5% by weight of the sealing material.
