ABSTRACT:
A microwave shielding device for a door of a microwave oven includes a door frame and a choke seal formed integrally and of one piece with the door frame. The door frame includes a stepped portion formed at one side thereof defining a contact surface for contacting a front plate of the microwave when the door is closed. The choke seal includes an inner wall, a front wall, an outer wall, and a flange portion extending perpendicular to one another. Rectangular apertures, through-holes, and slits are formed in the outer wall portion and the flange portion to prevent leakage of microwave energy from the microwave oven.
