ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a tray for frozen food enabling frozen food such as frozen sushi on the tray to be suitably thawed and to provide a frozen food package or a frozen sushi package using this tray, and a method of thawing frozen sushi in this package. The tray for frozen food1comprises a base3, concavities2caved in the base3, a surrounding wall4standing from the periphery of the base3, a flange5composing the top end of the surrounding wall4, a downward flap6extending downwardly from the outer peripheral edge of the flange5, an overhanging portion7overhanging outward from the lower edge of the downward flap6, ribs8formed at corners between the base3and the surrounding wall4, and bulges9standing from the base3. The tray1is composed of a body1amade of a synthetic resin and a dielectric material layer1bformed on the outer surface of the body1a. Frozen sushi10is disposed such that the shari ball11is entirely or mostly positioned within the concavity2and the neta12is entirely positioned above the level of the base3. The frozen sushi is thawed in such a manner that the shari ball11is thawed with heat transmitted from the dielectric material layer1bby heating the frozen food package by a microwave oven and the neta12is thawed with heat transmitted from the shari ball11after stopping heating the package in the microwave oven.
