ABSTRACT:
A microstrip line having a shortened line length, includes at least one conductive wire connected between two desired points of a strip conductor through a medium having a second dielectric constant which is smaller than a first dielectric constant. The strip conductor is formed on a substrate which has the first dielectric constant. The effective length of the microstrip line is therefore shorter than the physical length of the microstrip line.
