ABSTRACT:
C.sub.3 and/or C.sub.4 hydrocarbons(s) is produced by the aerobic cultivation of a microorganism belonging to a wide variety of genera of Fungi, Yeasts, Bacteria and Actinomycetes. Industrial wastes and various biomass can be employed as nutrient source in the cultivation.
