ABSTRACT:
Orphan receptor expressed in Xenopus oocytes. The coupling of the receptor to a G protein-activated K.sup.+ channel was used as a functional essay in oocytcs. Endogenous opioid peptides dynorphins were found to activate the K.sup.+ channel by stimulating the orphan receptor.
