ABSTRACT:
The invention provides a series of chimeric Gα15protein variants that couple to certain GPCRs more efficiently than the native Gα15protein. These chimeric Gα15protein variants can be used to discover and analyze modulators of GPCRs (especially those that mediate taste perception).
