ABSTRACT:
Methods of treating painful neuropathies are provided comprising administering compounds comprising the (S)-isomer of chiral compounds having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R1 is C1-C5 hydrocarbyl, R2 and R3 are independently C1-C5 hydrocarbyl or H, R4 is C1-C5 hydrocarbyl, R3 and R4 may optionally be joined together to form a 5, 6 or 7 membered ring system, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, substantially free of the (R)-isomer.
