ABSTRACT:
ALycopersicon esculentumplant comprising within its genome at least one tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) resistance allele and at least one root knot nematode resistance allele, characterized in that the resistance alleles are present in coupling phase at different loci on one chromosome and in that the plant is highly resistant both against TYLCV and to at least one root knot nematode species selected from the group consisting ofMeloidogyne arenaria, Meloidogyne incognitaandMeloidogyne javanica.
