ABSTRACT:
Method for (1) extrusion coating flexible, tubular-shaped articles without producing fragile edges or weakened areas in the coating or in the material of the article and to coated articles manufactured thereby; (2) method for extrusion coating and laminating tubular-shaped articles; and (3) flexible, multilayer articles of flat or tubular shape composed of a plurality of layers of plastic fabric or other material laminated together by one or more intermediate, fully embedded barrier layers. The method comprises covering the surface of the flexible, tubular-shaped article in at least three contiguous sections around the circumference of the article to provide a substantially continuous covering without weakened areas through which leakage can occur.
