ABSTRACT:
A method of reducing mercury emissions using a combustion device including at least a combustion zone. The method includes receiving a flow of fuel including mercury at the combustion device assembly; injecting a first mercury oxidizer flow including MgCl2on the fuel upstream of the combustion device assembly; and oxidizing the mercury using a mercury oxidizer flows and the combustion device assembly.
