ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a method of detecting electromagnetic or corpuscular radiation. In order to detect a radiation photon or particle, a homogenous particle of superconducting material of the first form is made to change from the metastable form of the superconducting state to the normal state by the action of a photo-electron expelled by the impact of the photon or particle of radiation on the particle of material.
