ABSTRACT:
The present invention describes the use of lactic acid bacteria, particularly lactic acid producing members of the genusBacillus, in treating digestive-related immune disorders by downregulating of cytokines and by inhibiting pathogenic or deleterious microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tract. Specific formulations ofBacillus coagulansfor various immune disorders are elaborated.
