ABSTRACT:
The presently claimed invention relates generally to digital watermarking, obtaining identifiers from media and/or processing media files. One claim recites a method including: accessing a target website; collecting display or scripting instructions associated with at least one portion of the website; collecting at least one media file associated with the at least one portion of the website; processing the media file with reference to at least the display or scripting instructions; and analyzing the processed media file to obtain steganographic information hidden therein or to determine an identifier of the media file there from. Of course, other combinations are described and claimed as well.
