ABSTRACT:
An assembly10comprising a battery box11and a lid12. The lid12defines a well13for receiving a secondary closure14, with the well providing fining access to the battery box11. The secondary closure is applied to a battery box lid by a secondary closure applying apparatus. This comprises essentially three units: a lid and battery box assembly locating unit16, a heated platen unit17and a closure applicator18. By engaging lid12, rather tan box11, any offset positioning of the lid relative to the box, is substantially removed. Orientation of platen and closure14is made in response to the detected position of the well13and/or lid12.
