ABSTRACT:
A process for winding fiber material into a plurality of wrappings by using a winding device which has a rotational axis and two side walls arranged perpendicular to the rotational axis. Each side wall has two slits extending from the middle portion to both extreme ends of the side wall. The process includes the steps of rotating the side walls about its axis and bringing a supply of bolts into the radius of the side walls and feeding at least one bolt into the two adjacent slits in the side walls while the winding device is in rotation. Fiber material is wrapped around the bolts and additional bolts may be inserted during winding until the desired number of fiber wrappings is reached. After the winding is completed, the wrappings of fibers are placed in a mold and impregnated with resin and the resin is cured.
