ABSTRACT:
Anxiety or depression is treated by administering to a patient suffering from anxiety or depression an effective dosage of a piperazine of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, --CO(lower alkyl) --CO(monocyclic aryl)--CONH(lower alkyl), --CON(lower alkyl).sub.2 or --CONH--(monocyclic aryl); and
