ABSTRACT:
The stability of organic substrate materials having an absorption peak between 300 and 800 nm in wavelength can be improved by the presence of a compound represented by the following general formula (I), ##STR1## wherein M represents Cu, Co, Ni, Pd or Pt atom; Cat represents a divalent cation or two monovalent cations; X represents S or a ##STR2## group where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represents a CN, a COR.sup.3, a COOR.sup.4, a CONR.sup.5 R.sup.6, or a SO.sub.2 R.sup.7 group and R.sup.1 may combine with R.sup.2 to form a 5- or 6-membered ring; R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.7 each represents an alkyl or an aryl group, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl or an aryl group, and n represents an integer of 1 or 2.
