ABSTRACT:
The invention provides a method of screening for potential anti-bacterial agents being antagonists of one or both of the transglycosylase and the transpeptidase enzymes involved in peptidoglycan biosynthesis in bacteria. The method is suitable for high throughput screening of compounds.
