ABSTRACT:
A method of removing volatiles in the mixing of a heat vulcanizable silicone rubber composition comprising (a) mixing a diorganopolysiloxane polymer and filler in an enclosed heated vessel comprising heating the mixture above 100.degree. C. and removing volatiles from the enclosed area above the mixing vessel by the use of aspirator means and collecting the volatiles. The mixing vessel is a Banbury mixing vessel.
