ABSTRACT:
Pyritic sulfur is removed from coal to concentrate gas fraction collecting a gas fraction at decomposition temperatures within the range from 375.degree. to 550.degree. C. The collected fraction contains at least 60% of the total composable sulfur and not over 40% of the evolvable gas.
