ABSTRACT:
A receptacle accommodates a waste paper suspension and a rotor located adjacent one portion of the receptacle wall. A first outlet is provided in the wall in the region of the rotor so tht pulp produced by shredding of waste paper by the rotor can be discharged from the receptacle. A strainer is interposed in the first outlet, and a second outlet is provided in an opposite portion of the wall and arranged to discharge matter having low specific gravity from the receptacle.
