ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates generally to a method for the prophylaxis and treatment of parasitic infections in animals and birds. More particularly, the present invention contemplates a method for the prophylaxis and treatment ofPlasmodiuminfection in mammals and the prophylaxis and treatment of disease conditions caused or exacerbated byPlasmodium. Even more particularly, the present invention is directed to a method for the prophylaxis and treatment of malaria including ameliorating the clinical effects of malaria and agents useful for same.
