ABSTRACT:
Methods for producing intraocular lenses which can be non-surgically repositioned after being placed in an eye. Such methods include providing a lens blank at least a portion of which is a polymeric material having a glass transition temperature of at least about 40.degree. C., and forming from the lens blank an intraocular lens including an optic and a fixation member so that at least a portion of the fixation member is made of the polymeric material. The position of the optic in the eye can be changed by heating the fixation member to a temperature above the glass transition temperature.
