ABSTRACT:
Automotive vehicle bumpers and other articles made of heat-treatable age hardenable aluminum base alloys and having a high spectral reflectance of the order of 95-99% are obtained by applying to the surface of the article which has been previously bright-dipped, an organic solvent solution of a resinous coating composition consisting essentially of (a) a terpolymer of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, and maleic acid, and (b) a lower alkyl methacrylate monomer, and curing at a temperature between about 250.degree. and 275.degree.F.
