ABSTRACT:
A method is provided for preventing or reducing deep vein thrombosis and/or pulmonary embolism by administering a thromboxane A.sub.2 receptor antagonist in conjunction with heparin. A combination of thromboxane A.sub.2 receptor antagonist and heparin is also provided.
