ABSTRACT:
To prepare a glass batch use is made of aqueous solutions of bivalent metals or monovalent and bivalent metals as the starting materials and the pulp obtained on mixing thereof is dried and simultaneously granulated at a temperature of 150.degree.-500.degree. C. The batch is intended for the production of colorless silicate glass.
