ABSTRACT:
A method of activating target proteins in a biologic sample for radioimmunoassay or other immunoassay by adding the sample to a diluent containing no calcium or magnesium, heating the mixture in a boiling water bath for a designated period of time, cooling the sample, centrifuging the mixture to isolate the activated protein containing supernatant, and then vortexing the supernatant to ensure homogeneity of the protein.
