ABSTRACT:
Insulation members having spaced apart walls, and at least a partial vacuum in the chamber defined by the walls are filled with activated carbon. The filling is accomplished under vacuum conditions, and activated carbon, degassed and having a density of greater than 0.3 grams/cm.sup.3 is employed to at least partially fill the chamber.
