ABSTRACT:
16.alpha., 17.alpha.-dialkylated steroids are prepared by reacting a 16.alpha.-alkyl-17(20)-enyl-20-silyl ether with an alkylating agent and an enol silyl ether cleaving agent in a suitable solvent.
