ABSTRACT:
A precipitation hardened metallic alloy is provided in which the strengthening is based on the precipitation of particles. The strengthening particles have a quasicrystalline structure, said structure being essentially maintained at aging times up to 1000 h and tempering treatments up to 650.degree. C., the strengthening involving an increase in tensile strength of at least 200 MPa.
